The WQPHN Needs Assessment is a population health-based analysis of the health needs of our communities.
The latest Health Needs Assessment identifies key statistics and data that help shape health services in our regions, to ensure the effective distribution of funding to our service providers and address gaps in primary health care. The resulting goal is to create a better experience for people, encourage better use of health resources, and eliminate service duplication.
WQPHN’s health priorities and opportunities are guided by both our Health Needs Assessment and the aims and objectives of the Australian Government’s Primary Health Care 10 Year Plan 2022-32.
Our experiences and the outcomes of the Health Needs Assessment have provided a roadmap for setting our strategic priorities over the coming years. The alignment of these priorities ensures WQPHN will play a critical and pivotal role in transforming the way primary health care services are delivered in rural and remote Australia.
