Webinar - NSD market transition in Queensland - Draft findings released

Queensland service providers will have the opportunity to hear the draft findings of the Queensland Productivity Commission (QPC) investigation into the NDIS market transition in this state.
Principal Commissioner Dr Karen Hooper will overview the Commission’s draft report into the transition and market development of the NDIS in Queensland.

The Draft Report, released 30 November, has followed consultation with the sector comprising written submissions, roundtable discussions and private interviews.
The draft report finds targeted reforms are needed for the NDIS to reach its full potential. It sets out 39 recommendations to:

realign participant, provider and agency incentives

increase the availability of information
-
simplify processes and reduce the compliance burden

provide greater flexibility and remove restrictions

improve the governance of the scheme.

The Queensland Productivity Commission (QPC) is the State's independent economic review body established to review complex economic and regulatory issues and propose policy reforms to government.
