Genomics for GPs - Webinar Session 3: Cancer Genetics
Date: Nov 18, 2020 12:00:00
Queensland Genomics in partnership with CheckUP Australia is hosting a genomics education series for Queensland’s general practice workforce.
Genomic technologies have become highly accessible and are being mainstreamed into routine clinical practice. General practitioners are required to maintain currency in this fast-moving field as an increasing number of investigations are becoming available and more affordable through the Medicare Benefits Schedule. Online testing has resulted in the general public being able to access genomic testing directly and subsequently presenting to their general practitioner with results requiring interpretation. This education package aims to empower general practitioners with knowledge of this fast-moving field to successfully integrate genomics into their daily practice.
