Telehealth Beyond COVID-19 - Facilitated Panel Discussion

Join a panel discussion with commissioning organisations and front line clinicians in the last of a series of five webinars hosted by the Australian Psychological Society and WQPHN.

This webinar aims to have a facilitated discussion across 4 key health leaders working in our patch and focuses on thinking forward and dealing with the uncertainty of the future and expected slow return to business as usual, and the likelihood to develop a new way of conducting business and providing services.
Together they have a wide range of interests and knowledge for an opportunity to highlight elements that may be unique to Western Queensland and /or the work currently underway in our patch.  It’s a chance to recognise what is being undertaken, higher level advocacy of the importance of telehealth care and especially video, and also what are the ‘stakes in the ground’ that will allow this innovation to be more formally integrated into usual practice as an adjunct to more patient centred primary care.

The content will provide Health providers with an understanding of:
  • A vision of a new normal health care model based on a review of the changes that have occurred because of COVID-19
  • A multi-disciplinary  / cross-sectoral discussion regarding the ‘new normal’ for consumers, health providers and organisations, and those enabling system capacity and adoption
  • Any barriers to moving forward and some actions to address the barriers
Learning Outcomes
  1. Clarify a vision for a new normal health care system provided by health care teams that engage consumers and better meet their needs using telehealth care
  2. Increase knowledge of what interprofessional and industry supports are available, in-train or around the corner.
  3. Develop ideas for professions working together to strengthen workforce, and strengthen high functioning team based care.
