Rural health webinar for GPs - disruptive disorders in childhood

This instalment of the Rural Health Webinar Series will provide an overview of disruptive disorders in childhood, including management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant disorder (ODD) and Conduct disorder (CD). These disorders will be explored with a particular focus given to the challenges these settings provide and some practical tips that can be applied in regards to diagnosis, evaluation, treatment and management pathways.
Presenter:
Andrew McDonald has been a paediatrician in Campbelltown since 1990, training in both Australia and the UK. He works in a GP based practice one day per week at Tharawal Aboriginal Health service, on the other days he is Hospital based. He teaches medical students at both WSU and UNSW. He teaches on Advanced Paediatric life support courses. He is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He was the NSW state MP for Macquarie Fields from 2007 till 2015, including roles as parliamentary Secretary for health (2008-2011) and shadow health Minister (2011 – 2014). He continued his medical work part time for those years.
This event is free and can be attended by GPs and other interested health practitioners.
