Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sexual health in North and North West Queensland.

For service providers, and those who facilitate service provision, from government and non-government organisations involved in providing sexual healthcare services to First Nations People in the geographical region covered by NWHHS.
The aim of the event is to collectively identify and discuss system gaps and barriers to culturally capable and effective service provision, along with identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
The program will include:

an epidemiological overview of the current bloodborne virus and sexually transmissible infections environment in the North West
-
a profile of the clinical, policy and service delivery context of sexual health
-
case presentations and focussed discussions that seek to explore opportunities and priorities for the provision of sexual health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities in North West Queensland.
