Clinical Challenges: Respiratory Presentations in General Practices

This free webinar will focus on the role and interpretation of commonly ordered pathology tests in respiratory and ENT presentations, including throat swab, sputum cultures and serology.
Our host is Dr Simon Morgan, an experienced general practitioner and educator. He will facilitate a discussion with Dr Shobini Sivagnanam, infectious diseases physician and microbiologist, about the role and interpretation of commonly ordered tests in a range of respiratory conditions, including sore throat and cough.
Target audience: Australian Health Professionals
Case studies will include:
- Exudative tonsillitis
- Community acquired pneumonia
- Tuberculosis
- Sore throat
The key learning objectives of the session are to:
- Apply a rational approach to ordering tests for common respiratory and ENT presentations in general practice
- Interpret test results commonly requested for respiratory and ENT presentations.
