A seminar for general nurses who want to gain an understanding of mental illness to develop their clinical relationships/practice
This two-day seminar introduces you to the main mental illnesses that you are likely to see as a Nurse working in clinical practice across health settings. During the two days, a number of interventions will be demonstrated that can be easily integrated into your practice.
One in four adults will experience a mental illness at some time in their life. The common mental health conditions that will be covered are anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The seminar will also cover suicidality and self-harm.
Conference Learning Outcomes:
