Increasing HCV treatment in primary care is crucial to achieving HCV elimination in Australia by 2030

Synopsis
This free facilitated online training course provides General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners with the knowledge and confidence to screen, treat and manage hepatitis C in primary care settings.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Apply the latest clinical information about antiviral medication for the treatment of hepatitis C to clinical practice
- Determine when to refer a patient for treatment by a specialist
- Plan guideline-based monitoring and post treatment follow up
Learning Methods:
Attendees will be given the opportunity to present cases to, and ask questions of, a specialist. This evening will be an informal workshop that will be directed by the needs, questions and interests of the attendees.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to submit cases for discussion and bring along any questions on the evening, as GP and NP-submitted material will drive the event.
Target Audience:
General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners who have attended a hepatitis C training session, based in Queensland.
