This webinar will cover the legal and medical aspects of mental capacity assessments in general practice.
Learning Outcomes:

Review the legal aspects of mental capacity (capacity defined: an explanation of the different powers of attorney and how they apply; guardianship and administration; advanced care planning and end of life decisions).

Identify the issues/ challenges for GPs when performing mental capacity assessments and tools/ strategies that a GP can utilise.
Two case studies will be discussed by the speaker panel.
