Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists in Western Queensland
Western Queensland Primary Health Network (WQPHN) is inviting Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to create new cultural artwork that reflects the stories, strength and diversity of Western Queensland communities.
The project includes a new cultural artwork and accompanying narrative for WQPHN and a new logo for the Nukal Murra Alliance. Together, they will support our shared vision for strong, connected and healthy communities across Western Queensland.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander artist who:
- Lives and creates within the Western Queensland PHN region
- Brings strong cultural knowledge and artistic excellence
- Can tell the story of our region through contemporary visual design
- Is willing to collaborate with WQPHN, ACCHOs and community partners
Key dates
- EOI opens: 13 January 2026
- EOI closes: 16 February 2026
- Artist selected: 3 March 2026
- Project delivery: March to May 2026

Before starting your application, please prepare the following supporting information:
- A brief artist bio outlining your connection to Western Queensland Country and community
- Examples or images of previous relevant work
- A short outline of your collaborative process and how you like to work with communities. WQPHN will support connections to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), partners and relevant groups.
