NewAccess is an easily accessible, free early intervention program for people over 18 years of age with mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety. The program aims to assist people who are not currently accessing mental health services through Low Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (LiCBT).

Developed by beyondblue, the program is supported by funding from the Western Queensland PHN and will be delivered by Centacare NQ in the North West, RFDS in the Central West and Lifeline Darling Downs in the South West.

NewAccess Coaches will provide up to six LiCBT sessions with the goal of achieving recovery through equipping clients with self-management skills so they can continue to maintain their own wellbeing. Sessions can be delivered face to face, by phone or via the internet.

Where clients are identified to require higher intensity support, NewAccess can step the client up to a more appropriate level.

No formal referral is required.
