Brief Intervention Training Workshops
Brief interventions are short-term therapies that are focused on wellbeing skills and lifestyle interventions for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental ill health. In our bit workshop, we will go through a 'menu' of nine treatment options that you can explore with young people based on their identified needs.
The brief intervention modules offer young people an opportunity to learn and practice essential wellbeing skills that help overcome problems they may be experiencing (e.g. problems with anxiety, mood, anger, self-esteem, etc).
We know from research with young people that brief interventions can successfully reduce psychological distress and symptoms of common mental disorders (e.g. depression and anxiety disorders), particularly physical exercise and problem-solving skills have a tonne of support that are linked with better mental health.
All participants will be presented with a certificate of attendance on completion of the workshops
