Thank you to everyone who submitted their photos for the WQPHN Annual Report cover photo competition. It was a difficult decision with a record number of strong contenders this year.

Congratulations to Krys Robinson for her photo of Doomadgee!

Krys will also receive a DJI Osmo Pocket 2 Camcorder.

Hi my name is Krys Robinson.

I live and work in an Aboriginal community in the Gulf of Carpentaria named Doomadgee. After long days at work, I often take the camera and enjoy the beautiful special places we have around the town. Sunsets and sunrises are pretty amazing out here in the middle of nowhere.

This is what happens to our local weir in the wet season after a good amount of rain. It’s a great place to visit. This young lady also enjoyed the amount of water rushing through. I managed to capture the quite moment she had with mother nature.

A special mention to our 5 finalists:

Big Skies Longreach - Marg Windsor

Hughenden Sunset - Jess Taylor

St George Cotton Fields - Dr Josephine Pearson

Fogbow outside Cunnamulla - Karen Ticehurst

St George Jacaranda - Dr Josephine Pearson
