Monsoon Trough grants NOW AVAILABLE **EXTENDED COMMUNITIES**
Far North & North Queensland Monsoon Trough — funding grants now open
**GRANT EXTENDED TO ADDITIONAL COMMUNITIES**
Grants of up to $150,000 each are now available to help FNQ & NQ communities recover from the 2019 Monsoon Trough, thanks to a $4.5 million Round One recovery package being jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments.
Queensland-based community groups, local councils, non-government organisations, peak & industry groups, research bodies and for-profit organisations within the private sector delivering to the monsoon-impacted local government areas of:
Barcoo | Boulia | Burke |
Cloncurry | Diamantina | Flinders |
Longreach | McKinlay | Mornington |
Mount Isa | Winton |
are encouraged to apply for either or both small grants (between $2,500 and $50,000) or large grants (between $50,000 and $150,000) to support events, activities and programs that drive community recovery activities, increase awareness and build local resilience.
The Funding Information Paper is to assist you to determine if groups are eligible, and how to submit an application.
Applications open 9am, Monday 1 July 2019.
Applications close 2pm, Monday 5 August 2019.
